The magnificent Stazione Leopolda in Florence, became once again the backdrop for a superb Fashion Night where Paul Marciano, CEO and Creative Director and Maurice Marciano, Chairman of the Board and Director of GUESS Inc. welcomed over a thousand guests from the world of fashion.
The immense halls of the location were transformed into a magical environment in baroque style to showcase the extraordinary catwalk of the GUESS Jeans and GUESS by Marciano collections for the coming S/S 2011 season.
An elegant black carpet walk of 60 metres led to the imposing entrance which conducted guests into the world of GUESS and an array of hanging and projected images from the new GUESS F/W 2010 campaigns and on to discover a catwalk area, decorated with cushions depicting the iconic black and white GUESS advertising campaigns.
1000 white roses, 1000 white candles, silver chandeliers, mirrors, and scattered crystals enhanced the baroque theme of the refined dining area. The party continued long into the night with DJ sets and a live band, including the special participation of Frederic Yonnet and the unique sound of his harmonica.
Special guest for the evening was Alyssa Miller, who features in the new GUESS Jeans F/W 2010 campaign, and is the sensual star of the campaign for the launch of the new GUESS Fragrance “Seductive”, in September of this year.
“Once again we have returned to Florence, the city where GUESS began its European adventure, to present our new collections for the SS 2011 season”, stated Paul Marciano. “During the last few years, we have experienced dramatic growth in the European markets, where we plan to reach $1 billion in sales in the next three years. GUESS is achieving excellent results in Europe right now: it’s our time!
